Mammogram King City, Ontario – Mammography Screening
What is Mammography
Mammography is a specialized X-ray examination used to produce detailed images of breast tissue. It plays an important role in the early detection and evaluation of breast abnormalities, including breast cancer.
Mammograms may be performed as a screening examination for individuals without symptoms or as a diagnostic examination to further evaluate a breast concern identified by a healthcare provider or previous imaging.
At King City Diagnostic Imaging, mammography examinations are performed by qualified Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists (MRITs) using digital mammography equipment. Images are interpreted by a radiologist, and the results are provided to your referring healthcare provider.
